stockport college phase 2

Stockport College is a large town centre-based college campus consisting of a disparate group of underutilised buildings mostly dating back to the 1960's. Following the phase one remodelling of some existing buildings to create a new Arts Factory, the second phase of the project creates a new building fronting Wellington Road, a main arterial route into Stockport. The new space will provide the college with a variety of educational curriculums and support services housed over three floors. The new building will provide the college with a new public face with the primary entrance to the college accessed via an internal three storey entrance hall. The entrance is illuminated by a double height structurally glazed lantern on the building’s front elevation, creating a new landmark for the college on Wellington Road
