An invited competition to design new restaurant facilities within Chavasse Park at Liverpool One.
The concept is a pavillion of simple form with clean lines, a fun yet functional building that playfully and wittily bridges the divide bewteen architecture and sculptural art.
The buidling has a simple uncluttered form with minimalist sharp lines to be viewed against the more intricately adorned facades that form the backdrop, to complement not compete.
The building's proposed mirrored facade forms a skin that changes to signal the gradual fade of daytime into evening activity. The facade can melt into the sky by day and glow in the evening, with dusk becoming a semi-transparent, semi-reflective skin signalling the crossover of daytime function of Liverpool One into an evening entertainment destination.
