conversion of a traditional bank to form a new bar and restaurant, Timperley
The proposed conversion of a former high street bank to create a two storey bar and restaurant. The bank’s brick and stone façade, a cherished element to the street scene, is to be renovated and modified to create openings for street dining thereby engaging with and animating the street frontage. A contemporary roof top extension provides additional drinking and dining space and access to a south facing roof terrace. An up-lit roof projection, scalloped to reflect the arched façade, creates architectural drama to enhance the restaurant’s street presence and visually announce the repurposing of this significant old building.
