An invited competition to create a landmark restaurant building located on Chavasse Park within Liverpool ONE shopping centre. The primary concept is a pavilion of simple uncluttered form with minimalist sharp lines, designed to be viewed against the more intricately adorned façades that form the backdrop. The building aims to complement, not compete with the surrounding buildings, yet become a piece of sculptural architecture in it’s own right. The semi-transparent mirrored façade forms a skin that changes to signal the gradual fade of daytime into evening activity, melting into the sky by day and glowing bright in the evening.
