Architect Director BA(Hons) DipArch RIBA ARB
Rob studied in Birmingham, becoming RIBA registered in 1990. A seven year spell in London followed, experiencing the start of the Docklands boom with CZWG architects and Jestico+Whiles. Rob moved to Manchester in 1995, where he became an associate at Hodder Associates and project architect for Salford University’s Centenary Building, winner of the first ever Stirling Prize.
Rob joined Stephenson Bell in 1998 as project architect for the Manchester International Convention Centre. He then went on to lead the redevelopment of Manchester's Free Trade Hall to create the Radisson Blu Edwardian, the City's finest hotel and subsequently led the RIBA award winning redevelopment of Trafford College. He was an Associate Director at Stephenson Bell for ten years and continues his association with the 're-branded' practice as a hotel consultant.
Rob enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience of the profession with the next generation of architects through his regular involvement with education as a visiting tutor at a number of the North West's Schools of Architecture.
